How to Apply

The requirements for admission to the M.Sc. in Solar Energy Engineering are:

1. Having a first academic degree in engineering or natural sciences (physics, chemistry, electronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material sciences, computer engineering, etc.).

2. One year of work experience (not necessarily in the solar industry).

3. Proof of English proficiency*; equal to minimum B2 according to CEFR.

Note about admission: Admission with an alternative bachelor's degree will be considered if the necessary mathematical and technical expertise is proved (e.g., relevant industrial experience).

The admission process for the master's program is currently done by email with digital documents, however in a short time the admission process will be done in an online portal, for which we will let our applicants know in advance.

Funding Information

The SEE Master's Program cost 25,000, and it lasts 6-7 semesters. However, if you have relevant previous knowledge on any of our Fundamental Modules (see the Module Handbook), you might be eligible to do the Expert Track (see the Module Handbook), which takes 4-5 semesters and costs 18,500€. There is also a 161 € registration fee for each semester (subject to change); the Baden-Württemberg state mandates this fee.
