Several faculty have certifications or designations such as IBCLC (infant nutrition), CSSD (sports nutrition), and recognition from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. With over 60 years of combined teaching experience, these experts will provide instruction in food and nutrition, public health, global nutrition, medical nutrition therapy, nutrition and aging, and human metabolism. Coursework in this program adheres to recommendations from the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND®?).
As a graduate of Winthrop's human nutrition master's degree online program, you'll be equipped with critical thinking, research, and nutrition assessment skills necessary for a career as a registered dietician, nutritionist, public health educator, food management dietician, or expert consultant. Graduates will also be prepared to take the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) national exam (a DPD Verification Statement will also be needed).
