Poetry is a writing discipline rooted in expression and rhythm. Students in programs of this type may learn to analyze the work of any number of poets as a means of better understanding the art form, as well as learning to draft poems of their own.

The state of Alaska is in northwestern North America, west of Canada and east of Russia across the Bering Strait, and the state of Hawaii is an archipelago in the mid-North Pacific. The country also has five populated and nine unpopulated territories in the Pacific and the Caribbean.
